PAWS IN A POD ISN’T JUST ABOUT RESCUING KITTENS,

We're Devoted to giving every kitten the chance for a life filled with love and care.

Our Story

Paws in a Pod was founded by Casey-Lee, a compassionate vet nurse with over ten years of experience in animal care. Her journey began with Happy, a tiny kitten brought into the clinic at just one week old. Raising him and finding him the perfect home was an experience she cherished—not only did she help a kitten in need, but she also formed lasting friendships along the way.

From that moment, Casey knew rescuing and fostering was her passion. Over the years, she has cared for countless kittens, ensuring they receive the love, care, and medical attention they need before finding their forever homes. Four years ago, she fostered Polly, who quickly stole her heart—becoming her very first foster fail. Now, Polly is a permanent part of Casey’s family and a loving presence for all the kittens who come through Paws in a Pod.

With so many lost and stray kittens out there, desperate for a chance, Casey started Paws in a Pod with the support of the vet clinics she has worked at, giving these babies the best start in life and finding them loving homes. The rest is history, but the mission remains the same—when the shelters are full, Paws in a Pod’s heart has room.

OUR MISSION

Rescue

At Paws in a Pod, our first step is to provide a safe haven for kittens and cats in need, ensuring they are rescued from neglect, abandonment, or unsafe conditions.

Rehabilitate

We dedicate ourselves to the healing and growth of each kitten and cat, offering them the medical care, love, and socialisation they need to thrive.

Rehome

When they are ready, our ultimate goal is to match every rehabilitated kitten and cat with a loving forever home, where they can enjoy the life and love they deserve.

Meet Casey Lee Fadden

Casey-Lee, a passionate vet nurse based in Adelaide, has dedicated her life to the care and nurturing of animals. With years of experience fostering not only kittens but also ducks, possums, and other furry friends, Casey’s love for animals knows no bounds.

As a vet nurse at a local clinic, Casey ensures that every kitten under her care receives exceptional medical attention. From vaccinations and surgeries to medications and routine check-ups, each kitten’s health is carefully managed by Casey and the team at her Vet Clinic. The kittens, often surrendered to the clinic or found in local areas, are given a second chance at life through the loving environment Casey provides.

Casey-Lee’s commitment to animal welfare extends beyond medical care. She ensures that all kittens are nurtured with love and exposed to both human interaction and other pets. This approach helps prepare them for their forever homes. While the kittens are ready for their homes, Casey doesn’t just allow anyone to adopt; she carefully selects adopters to ensure that each kitten goes to a home where they will be cherished and well cared for.

A special part of Casey’s fostering journey is her own cat, Polly. Polly was Casey’s first foster fail—one she simply couldn’t part with. Now a permanent member of her family, Polly acts as a mother figure to the foster kittens, showing them love, providing a playmate, and helping them adjust to their new surroundings.

Casey-Lee’s unwavering dedication to the well-being of animals is the driving force behind Paws in a Pod. Her compassionate care and extensive experience ensure that every kitten is given the best possible start in life.
